Website Grader not picking up our blog

Posted January 20th, 2010 by rubix606

 Hi,

I'm new to this forum and having some trouble with the Website Grader tool. We have a self-hosted WordPress blog on our site (http://vuezone.com/blog) with a Feedburner feed, but for some reason the Website Grader doesn't detect it. I was wondering if anyone knew how I can fix this?

It's not picking up our Delicious bookmarks or RSS feed either.

Thanks for any tips!

Social Media to promote Blog

Posted January 19th, 2010 by walaaumedia

I was just watching one of the video classes and it was mentioned to NOT use auto outposting of a blog entry. I have clients who are moving into inbound marketing and Social media at a time when their staff have been cut back and if they need to create good content and then make time to spread the word that the new content exists, that will turn into a barrier to frequency. Is there a problem using the auto outpost to get them started or use it in some circumstances? In what circumstances?

Blog not found by Websitegrader

Posted December 4th, 2009 by Nancy

I am a small business owner trying to optimize my website for organic search.  My website developer set me up with a Word Press blog awhile back and I have about 4 entries, none of them recent.  I ran the website grader and notice that it didn't find my blog.  Is that because it is not properly linked to my site?  My main site is www.maximumsecurity.com and the link to one of my blog entries is http://www.maximumsecurity.com/wp/?p=9.  My plan is to begin blogging on a regular basis but I want to make sure I am set up properly first.  Any suggestions would

Hubspot Website Grader and Google Analytics issues

Posted November 21st, 2009 by Renee

I've been working on building my website optimization and improving my website grade through Hubspot Website Grader. About a month ago, I hired a company to create a blog and integrate it with my website. They turned my website into a Wordpress site with a blog. Since then, Google Analytics hasn't been reporting visitors to my site, and Hubspot's website grader doesn't seem to be picking up CMS changes I've made. Despite that, my grade is slowly going up.

Why social media . . . even if you don’t want to

http://www.building43.com

If you read blogs about marketing small companies, you’re inundated with “social media” advice about why you need a blog and a Twitter account and everything else.

Even my 90-year-old grandmother who doesn’t own a computer and reads my wife’s healthy cooking blog on print-outs asks “What’s Twitter?” because she read about it in the New York Times.

Still, most people and most businesses don’t think they need a blog.
