SUMMARY
This position will assist in the creation and implementation of technology-based interactive marketing strategies. The
position will be responsible for partnering with internal and external resources to execute marketing strategies that utilize
technology, including text messages (SMS), web design, e-mail marketing, as well as the development of viral-based
marketing strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Assists in the execution of technology-driven marketing initiatives.
• Assists in the creative development of technology-based, interactive, and viral marketing programs.
• Assists in analyzing the effectiveness and results of marketing programs and initiatives and make
recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the strategies.
• Assists in the execution of the company’s paid search marketing strategy.
• Assists in the ongoing development and maintenance of RT.com, including search-engine optimization.
• Assists in the maintenance of the So Connected subscriber database.
• Works with internal and external resources to gather copy, artwork, and other items necessary in preparing
electronic communications including internal communications and external So Connected messages.
• Reviews industry trends and makes recommendations regarding the implementation of new technology-based
advertising, marketing, and communication mediums (such as podcasts, text messaging, etc.).
• Stays current of innovative techniques applicable to communication and marketing technology trends in the
industry and reviews operational programs to determine feasibility for use or competitive adaptation.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used restaurant operations and technology concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Stays current with all aspects of Ruby Tuesday, Inc. operations, policies, and procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BS in Communications and Technology (or a related discipline) and 3 years of experience OR an equivalent combination
of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Requires proven advanced technical writing skills to include, but not limited to, composition, editing, formatting. Ability to
read, analyze, and interpret general business data. Requires advanced written and oral communication skills, as well as
the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and team members via oral
presentations and written documentation. Skilled at technical proofing of written material for print and online delivery.
COMPUTER SKILLS
The position requires the ability to work in Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems and requires intermediate
knowledge and proven ability using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook/Entourage), Adobe
Acrobat Professional, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Dreamweaver. The position also
requires a working knowledge of HTML (hyper-text markup language) and JavaScript for web development. The position
also requires a general working knowledge of various social media and social networking platforms including Facebook
and Twitter.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety
of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach with
hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.
