DESCRIPTION:

A New York-based entertainment company is seeking an experienced Social Media Strategist to implement multiple campaigns/accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implement creative social media strategies and viral campaigns for a slate of independent films targeting niche audiences. Responsible for translating overall marketing goals for each film into an actionable online grassroots campaign targeting specific niche audiences.

Identify target niche / demographic segments online, and drive conversion / traffic.

Manage outbound email / social messaging campaigns, monitor & improve conversion.

Social networking/viral/friend network experience and overall digital campaign management.

Monitor, research, share and report on new developments, outlets, and practices within the social media space and interactive marketing arena.

Monitor, analyze, and report on online discussion and activity in relation to all campaigns.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience driving results using online marketing with zero-budget.

Knowledge of the social landscape, eg understanding the difference between MySpace, Facebook, Twitter.

Ability to manage the day-to-day upkeep of multiple ongoing community & viral programs.

Proven success multi-tasking with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Self-starter with an interest in film.

Minimum 2 years prior experience successfully implementing and managing social media campaigns/programs.

Ability to communicate information and key findings as needed.

NICE TO HAVE:

Working knowledge of SEO, A/B testing, dynamic keyword purchase, regional keyword, funnel tracking, email campaigns with demo segmentation and click-through tracking
