We are looking for an energetic, creative, enthusiastic and strategic Interactive Marketing Director to join our Marketing team. This is a great position for a candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing and dynamic organization based in NYC.

 

Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of equinoxfitness.com, delivering sales of our products and services, as well as driving Equinox's presence on the web leveraging social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in, etc.

 

S/he will drive the strategic planning and execution of the presentation of products, content and promotions on the website. In addition, the position will drive the strategy and oversee management for all online advertising/lead generation.

 

Being plugged into trends and new technologies on the web are crucial to success in this position.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

* Develop content and unique initiatives that enhance the website experience of consumers
* Participate in the planning of online promotions, execute company-wide initiatives and create online-only sales driving campaigns
* Drive the use of social networking (Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Linked-in, etc.) to create community and drive leads and referrals.
* Development for strategies using iPhone apps, text messaging and other new technologies.
* Develop strategies to cross-merchandise product lines; work with business owners on seasonal promotions and on-going product support
* Own affiliate marketing, paid search, banners, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and Google Adwords
* Drive online media strategy, media planning/buying and campaign management
* Analyze flow of traffic and develop understanding of most valuable placements on the site; maximize those placements for the biggest sales return
* Work with Developers, Graphics Designers and external partners to implement web programs
* Supervise copywriting/editing and technical requirements for web content
* Write design requests for and manage execution on the site

 

Additional responsibilities are website optimization and integration of offline and online advertising programs to include direct mail, print ads, and other appropriate media for lead generation.

 

Qualifications:

* 5-7 years of experience developing and managing online marketing strategies, including online merchandising; preferably for a multi-channel retailer
* Expertise in using Social media (Facebook, Myspace, Linked-in)
* Comprehensive understanding of interactive technologies and relationship marketing
* Experience translating offline marketing concepts to the online space
* Know how to "drive traffic" to website, make it "visible" and make it "stick"
* Ability to analyze website metrics and product reports; experience with analytical tools

[Webtrends; Omniture] preferred

* Knowledge of HTML and web design; familiarity with Web 2.0 technologies
* Ability to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines and work well with multiple stakeholders in a cross-functional and information sharing environment
* BA or BS in Communications, Marketing, or related field
* Enjoy working in a fast paced environment in a fun, teamwork-oriented company
