Does it matter that my site is http vs https?

Posted September 30th, 2009 by Aaron

My entire site is secure, thus is https://www.internetce.com

One makes there way there via a redirect upon getting to the site.  is this a problem for SEO given that all of the links ive created thus far lead to http://www.internetce.com

Any ideas??  Many thanks!

Just ran Website Grader on your site and it does not recognize your redirect. Make sure it is a 301 redirect. This can usually be accomplished in the c-panel of many hosts or you can create an htaccess file. For more info, go to www.isitebuild.com/301-redirect.htm

Add https:// to the mix and you have 16 possible URLs! When building links, make sure the URL you use in the link is consistent.
