Hello -
I was curious how some of you would plan on showing these training classes on your resume? Realizing some employers may not be aware of IMU or hubspot, I was thinking there could be a creative, yet short and concise way to display this training. However, without getting too heavy on the narrative so an employer knows exactly what I am referring to, I am having some difficulty developing this and was curious if anyone had some ideas or thoughts on this? Considering I fall into the category of "jobseeker" at this time, I would like to highlight the classes and training at IMU.
Thanks!
Kirk
Definitely worth your time.

Definitely worth your time. The free webinars are amazing. I "attended" the first session of IMU and cannot tell you how invaluable these classes were to my business. I am IMU certified and have learned so much through Hubspot. Good Luck!

I'm having a hard time thinking of where to put this. If you include any sort of "interests" portion I would be sure to mention "social media" and then mention IMU at that point. Adding it to the "education" portion might be too much, depending on the position and what you're trying to highlight.
I would also like to know the

It Depends

Kevin, I think the thread here has fleshed out the best answer: It depends, mainly on the specific employer your approaching. Some will need more detail about the program; others will not.
One thought, if you have an opportunity to link to things from your resume or list of qualifications, is to link to the page that describes the certification exam: http://www.inboundmarketing. com/university/certification- exam
In general, I think it makes sense to say something along the lines of "Inbound Marketing University, an advanced certification in Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Marketing, Lead Conversion [insert whatever pieces of the program are important to your situation here]."

Or we can have someting like a badge to put on the resume similar to what Brinbench has and if you send the CV in electronic format it may have a link for verification to the IM site

How to Display InBound Marketing Classes on Your Resume
Michael Hartzell 2 years 33 weeks 5 days 23 hours ago
Kirk,
It depends I think on your stengths and background.
Mine is experience, success, awards... with less on "degrees".
If your background shows strengths more inclined to education, etc....
Then how about:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDUCATION (most recent first)
2009 Graduated - Inbound Marketing University - Internet Marketing - Professor (or partner)
2004 Graduated - School of Hard Knox - Business Administration - Bachelors Degree
2001 Graduated - University of Knowledge - Psychology - Certification
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OVerall ... the trends and patterns, an overall picture of a person is represented on a resume.
Notice how it shows chronological, a pattern of success with graduated and moving up with each level?
After looking at thousands over the years... big picture with accomplishments, experience and education / training is a snapshot!
As to the scanning programs via the internet where the larger companies are simply scanning for key words... Another resume is needed where you would descrive your education and experience much differently than a visually scanned resume. keywords can be a curse... or a benefit. I will leave this part though to others with more understanding.
Resumes... whew. A sales tool to get the call. I hope others will share opinions.... .there are many to consider. :)

Agreed - for now I have mine under my training and professional development section, along with an industry certification (CFRE) I am working towards, and a bunch of my IABC, PRSA, etc., classes. I have mentioned it in my cover letters and in an interview today.
