Coupa is looking for an experienced, edgy inbound marketer with some serious copywriting chops who can take ownership of our company blog and make it the vortex around which a smarter spending for business movement will form. We need an evangelist who can “sell the goodness” of smarter spending in language anyone can understand. Someone not afraid to share an opinion or a point of view, someone who invites (incites) commentary, someone who can persuade others with clear thinking and insightful analysis. 

The person we’re looking for was born a content producer. He or she has more story ideas than time to tell them, knows how to create content that spreads and can churn out thoughtful, clear prose. 

Equally important: This person understands and embraces the business value of content — the extent to which content improves search engine optimization, establishes a company as a visionary thought leader and ultimately helps generate leads and sales.

Skills

Here are a few of the specific requirements for the job: 

• Three years experience blogging / writing on a daily publication schedule 
• You’re not afraid to do the heavy lifting required of any job that has enormous potential for growth 
• You’re active on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, and believe in and practice engagement through social media. 
• You’re a media maker. (You don’t go anywhere or do anything without writing about it, taking pictures or shooting video and posting it on the web.) 
• You’re analytical and expect your work to be assessed quantitatively (subscriptions, comments, inbound links, leads and conversion rates). 
• You’re agile. 
• You’re a quick learner. (You’re undaunted by items on this list that don’t describe you because you know you can learn.) 
• You understand the principles, and practice, of search engine optimization and content / conversational marketing. 
• You’re ambitious and you work hard. 
• You understand Coupa, and what we do. 
• You’re passionate about technology, and its potential to help people. 
• You’re fun to be around.
