We-Care.com is now looking for an experienced Business Development Director to help grow the business into an industry leader. Candidates should be self starters interested in building an enthusiastic base of partners who will adopt our tools and promote them to their supporters.

This is a new position that requires an individual with a proven track record of business-orientated solutions who can initially focus on business-development strategy and then move to closed sales. It’s crucial that candidates “get” the nonprofit sector and adapt quickly to the way it works.

Responsibilities

• Leading the creation of a business-development strategy, in collaboration with the general manager and owners.
• Working with the general manager and owners to produce relevant sales materials.
• Researching and developing a list of leads that includes
----- Nonprofits (especially large ones) that would benefit from We-Care.com’s tools.
----- For-profit companies that could use We-Care.com’s tools to raise money for nonprofits.
• Finding the appropriate decision-makers within organizations and building relationships.
• Working with the general managers and owners to close deals and build a commitment on the part of our new partners to actively promote We-Care.com to their supporters.
• Passing on feedback from potential and new partners in order to help us improve our tools and marketing.

Skills

• Business Development experience, including sales to large organizations.
• A successful track record of developing leads and closing sales.
• Previous experience creating a business-development strategy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Previous experience selling to large nonprofits. (preferred)
• Strong connections in the nonprofit sector. (preferred)
• Experience using Salesforce. (preferred)

We’ve developed a suite of tools that allow nonprofits to receive donations whenever their supporters shop at more than 900 online merchants. These tools can be used directly by the nonprofits and also by for-profit companies that support them. Our tools are new, innovative, and superior to those previously existing.
