Résumé is French for "summary". It's a collection of things that you’ve done in your work life that doesn't really give an indication of your aptitude, your natural talents, or how you'd fit onto a new team. Organizations who still use as a prescreening process are lazy. We all know that the best way to get found is online through the publication of your own good content and through your network. May the résumé rest in peace.

One of my goals has been to minimize the amount of emails to sift through each day. However, that doesn't seem to be happening as of yet.

For way too long, I've had a standard email signature with a simple link to my site because I love simplicity. The problem lies with the fact that I was missing a huge opportunity to connect with new friends and business contacts because I didn't have my social media buttons readily available.
